Fulton County Schools would like to say "welcome" to our newly-hired principals and administrative staff. We also offer our "congratulations" to existing employees that move into these positions as well. We are proud to present our newest team members here and on our FCS Social Media.
Stanetress Evans
Principal, Dunwoody Springs Elementary School
Meet Mrs. Stanetress Evans New Principal, Dunwoody Springs Elementary School Mrs. Evans is a Florida native, but a transplanted Georgian by way of the 1996 Olympics. She began her teaching career as a high school teacher with Cobb County at her alma mater Pebblebrook High School.
She holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of West Georgia in both history and education, as well as an Educational Leadership Specialist degree from Berry College. Mrs. Evans is a proud wife to Sergio and mother to son, Remington.
In 2015, Mrs. Evans joined Fulton County Schools as an administrator at Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs, GA. She served as an assistant principal for seven years helping students and adults feel loved, supported, and motivated to achieve at their highest levels. For the past two years, Mrs. Evans has served as principal of Bethune Elementary School supporting teaching and learning while adding joy and value to the school community. Mrs. Evans led the school to be recognized as an elementary literacy leader by the State Superintendent's Office and through partnership has garnered resources such as school supplies, mentors, clubs, etc. Notably, the school's Junior BETA Robotics Team is going to nationals this summer to represent the state of Georgia.
Mrs. Evans is committed to fostering an environment where all students, staff, and parents feel valued and heard. She has a passion for helping students reach their full potential through meaningful instruction and social emotional learning.
Mrs. Evans looks forward to meeting everyone in the Dunwoody Springs Elementary family. The amazing students, dedicated teachers and staff, and caring community have made Dunwoody Springs Elementary such a wonderful school, and Mrs. Evans is excited to join this awesome team.
