Earleana Smith

Dr. Earleana Smith

Principal, Love T. Nolan Elementary School

Dr. Earleana Smith is from Shreveport, Louisiana, but a transplanted Georgian since 1990. She is an advocate for children and is passionate about teaching and learning. She is committed to fostering an environment that motivates, nurtures, and that challenges students to reach their full potential. While serving in Fulton for the past 23 years, Dr. Smith truly embodies putting students first.

Dr. Smith began her teaching career as a 1st grade teacher at Harriet Tubman Elementary with Fulton County Schools. She served as a teacher for 12 years at Harriet Tubman Elementary teaching across multiple grade levels, and received the honor of being named Teacher of the Year 2006-2007 and then again 2010-2011. She dutifully served as Assistant Principal for 11 years in three Fulton County elementary schools: Mimosa Elementary, Brookview Elementary, and Bethune Elementary. Dr. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University, a master’s degree from Central Michigan University, and specialist and doctorate degrees from Argosy University.

Dr. Smith is the mother of three sons, Adam, Thomas, and Emmanuel, all former students at Fulton County Schools. She is a doting grandmother of grandson, Ashton. Not only is Dr. Smith a committed mother and grandmother, she is also a dynamic leader who works hard to meet the needs of all students.
