Students Hit Milestones Testing Out of the Park!
Recent state testing results confirm the percentage of Fulton County Schools (FCS) students testing at proficient and distinguished levels in several categories today is greater than in 2019. Additionally, the district's overall performance in 2023 was higher than in 2019 for elementary proficient and distinguished students in all tested subjects. Read more.
FCS Student’s “Spark” Inspires Others
High Point Elementary student Kaiya Desai has an impactful message to share. “No one is too little to help,” she says. “Everybody can help, even if you do little things.” Kaiya proves the power of that mindset in her book, “My Life: Dida and the Stroke.” She wrote and illustrated the story of her grandmother’s recovery from a stroke in 2022. Kaiya worked on the book last year, as a first grader. Read more here.

School Bus Driver Rides a Wave of Success
FCS Trailblazers are pioneer leaders who are experts in their field. Gail Coleman truly fits the title. She began her career at Fulton County Schools on August 11, 1986. Having traveled a total of 401,672 miles and driven countless hours accident free, Gail was presented with her 37th year “Safe Driving” pin this year from FCS Transportation. Also, in her 37 years with Fulton County Schools, 33 of those years she has earned perfect attendance. Congratulations, Gail! You truly are a trailblazer. Virtual Policy Office Hours Offered Through the Year
Have a question about FCS Policies? The Continuous Improvement department is giving district employees and parents/guardians the opportunity to learn more about the policy process by hosting monthly virtual office hours where a team member will answer questions and provide guidance. Students, Don’t Forget to Reset!
The IT department is hosting a Student Password Reset Campaign through the end of September. Students are encouraged to reset their password from the default birthdate to something more secure and encouraged to enroll in the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) tool. A prize will be awarded to the elementary, middle and high school with the highest number of password resets and enrollments in the reset utility. HELP YOUR SCHOOL WIN!
