Every October, schools across Fulton County recognize Red Ribbon Month to promote drug awareness and prevention with our students. This year's theme is "Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free." The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week, October 23-October 31 each year.
FCS is committed to providing safe and secure learning environments for our students. We have school counselors, social workers, and psychologists who are available to provide help. Please take the opportunity to open or continue the dialogue with your children about drugs. Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are less likely to use drugs. Literacy Program Debuts for Parents of K-2 Students
Parents are teachers, too! The district is now providing self-paced and interactive parent/family learning to support early literacy development at home for kindergarten through second-grade students. For this effort, FCS has created a series of seven engaging online experiences. These Parent Units are no more than 20 minutes from start to finish to complete. In the unit, an easy-to-replicate strategy is provided for parents/families to use at home to support literacy development. Read more.

Attention middle school parents! It's never too early for your student to start thinking about a career. Join us on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at North Springs High School (7447 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs) and jumpstart your child's future at the Middle School Career Expo. Shhh! The Password Is...

The IT department is extending its Student Password Reset Campaign. Parents, please encourage your students to reset their password from the default birthdate to something more secure and encourage them to enroll in the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) tool. A prize will be awarded to the elementary, middle, and high school with the highest number of password resets and enrollments in the reset utility. HELP YOUR SCHOOL WIN! Virtual Policy Office Hours Offered Through the Year
Did you know students can take five remote participation days per semester? Well, there’s a policy for that! Policy JBC Absences and Excuses provides an overview of different absence types for students as well as required notifications when students accrue different absence types throughout the year.
