FCS Holds Social Studies Championship at The Carter Center
The FCS social studies department held its second annual Jimmy Carter and Andrew Young Social Studies Championship at the Carter Center on December 14, 2024. Third through fifth-grade students from the two finalist schools, Crabapple Crossing Elementary School in Milton and Dolvin Elementary in Roswell competed for the first-place prize in a quiz bowl-style contest and debate. Ties of Excellence: Filling the Gap and Changing the Narrative
Learning how to properly tie a necktie is one of the many rites of passage for a young man. It is a skill Gerald Harris, dean of students at Benjamin Banneker High School, learned from his father. FCS Holds Super Bowl Themed "Tackle Hunger" Food Drive
In celebration of the 59th annual Super Bowl, the Fulton County cafes will be hosting a Super Bowl-themed promotion from February 3–7. School Cafes will host a Tackle Hunger Canned Food Drive throughout the week, with collections donated to local food banks in north and south Fulton County. Donation boxes will be in the cafeterias. Edible Awareness on Valentine’s Day
As we approach the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday, remember that candy, desserts, baked goods (store-bought/homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by the school administration. 2025-2026 Pre-K Lottery Application is Open
FCS implements the state-funded Georgia’s Pre-Kindergarten program. Only children who are four years old at 11:59 pm on 9/1/2025 AND are residents of the Fulton County Schools attendance zone are eligible to participate in the FCS Pre-K program. The Lottery Application closes on March 5, 2025. Register for the lottery now!

The Declaration Window for SGC Elections is Open
Play a critical role in the success of our schools! The window for parents to declare candidacy for their school's School Governance Council opens on February 3. Interested individuals can complete the Candidate Declaration Form for a two-year term (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 207). The declaration period closes on March 28th, with voting scheduled for April.
