FY2027 Budget Updates

FCS FY2027 Budget Update: March 2, 2026

During February, the Superintendent advanced a proposed FY 2026 mid-year adjustment and shared initial recommendations to guide development of the FY 2027 budget. As noted in prior updates, Fulton County Schools continues to manage rising operational costs, declining enrollment, and anticipated changes in state and local funding. Through the G.L.I.D.E. process, the district has identified strategies to reduce expenditures and generate additional revenue to help address projected budget gaps.

FCS FY2024 Budget Update: February 3, 2023

As Fulton County Schools (FCS) begins its annual budget season, it is important to update our community about the Fiscal Year 2024 budget planning process. The Board of Education’s strong financial management and oversight of the budget has resulted in Fulton County having the lowest school millage rate in the metro Atlanta region and has extended to the good stewardship of federal dollars from CARES I, CARES II, and ARP.
