Dr. Taylor Barton

Director, Strategy and Technology Support

Dr. Taylor Barton brings more than 20 years of experience in K–12 education, including executive leadership, school administration, and district-level collaboration. Most recently, he served as Principal of the Fulton Academy of Virtual Excellence, where he led significant academic gains, including increased graduation rates and growth in GMAS performance across grade levels. Previously, Dr. Barton served as Principal of Lake Forest Elementary School, where his leadership contributed to major improvements in school performance, climate, and recognition at the state and national levels. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University and brings strengths in strategic planning, change management, professional development, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Barton enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, as well as long-distance running.
