Rashida Armstrong - Congratulations!
Rashida Armstrong
Principal, Bear Creek Middle School
I am honored to serve as the principal of the best middle school in South Fulton. I look forward to working alongside dedicated and top performing educators and students. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2003 and began my education career as a middle grades English/Language Arts teacher. In 2006, I joined Fulton County Schools where I served as a classroom teacher at Sandtown Middle School and Renaissance Middle School. I have also served as an Assistant Administrator at Renaissance Middle School as well as an Assistant Principal at Haynes Bridge Middle School and Langston Hughes High School. Thanks to Fulton County Schools, I have been able to learn and grow from some of the best educators and leaders in the state.
Education has always been more than a career for me—it's a calling rooted in the belief that schools thrive when communities come together with a shared vision for student success.
I believe in leading by example—showing up, being present, and modeling the values I hope to instill in both students and staff. Whether it's through building relationships with families, supporting teachers, or empowering students to take ownership of their learning, my goal is to create a positive environment where everyone feels supported and inspired to grow.
Change can be challenging, but it is also an opportunity for growth.
I am committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive academically and personally. This commitment requires patience, collaboration, and a shared belief in systems, structures, and accountability. Trusting the process means understanding that progress takes time and that every step we take is a valuable part of our journey.
I encourage each of you—students, parents, teachers, and staff—to embrace this journey with an open mind and a positive attitude. Let's support one another, celebrate our successes, and learn from our challenges. Together, we can build a nurturing and academically rigorous environment that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
Every day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve, to lead, and to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people.
