Principal, Crabapple Crossing Elementary School

We are excited to announce Laura Butler as the new Principal of Crabapple Crossing Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025. Laura is a proud product of Fulton County Schools, having graduated from Roswell High School. She brings nearly two decades of experience in education, supported by a strong foundation in instructional leadership. She is deeply committed to cultivating a supportive, inclusive school culture while fostering academic excellence for all students.

Laura began her teaching career at Alpharetta Elementary and later taught at Hembree Springs Elementary, serving at multiple grade levels. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, where she also earned a master's degree in Instructional Technology, along with endorsements in Reading, Science, and Teacher Leadership. She went on to complete Tier I and Tier II Leadership Certifications and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.

Her leadership experience includes roles as Curriculum Support Teacher, Administrative Assistant, and most recently, Assistant Principal at Sweet Apple Elementary School. Recognized for her collaborative leadership style and strategic vision, Laura is passionate about building strong relationships with staff, families, and her students. She looks forward to leading Crabapple Crossing Elementary and continuing its tradition of excellence while inspiring every child to learn, grow, and thrive.

Laura resides in Roswell, GA with her husband, Lance, and their dog, Jack. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring new restaurants, and discovering new places to visit with her family.
