LaTonya Davis
Director of Science

LaTonya Davis is an educational leader with deep experience in instructional coaching, program development, and school improvement. She holds advanced degrees in Education and Educational Leadership, along with an undergraduate degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. LaTonya began her teaching career through Teach for America as a middle school science teacher before moving into roles as an Instructional Dean and STEM Director, where she led professional learning and coaching across Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
Driven by a commitment to educational equity, she co-founded an elementary charter school, serving as Assistant Principal and Director of Operations to strengthen instructional systems and schoolwide implementation. She later served at the state level as South Carolina’s Title III State Director, providing program leadership, technical assistance, and compliance oversight to support multilingual learners statewide.
In Fulton County Schools, LaTonya served as a Program Specialist, supporting secondary science educators by coaching teachers, developing curriculum resources, and enhancing science pedagogy to improve student outcomes. She leveraged her deep content expertise to guide schools in implementing high-quality, three-dimensional science instruction.
In her role as Coordinator of Innovative Curriculum & Instruction, she supported High Dosage Small Group Tutoring and Extended Learning programming, continuing to advance rigorous, student-centered instruction and meaningful support for teachers and students across the district.
