Kim Kapella

Principal, Esther Jackson Elementary School

Kim Kapella is a dedicated educational leader with 25 years of experience in public education and a long-standing commitment to Fulton County Schools. Her professional journey reflects a deep-rooted investment in the district, serving in a variety of roles with the most recent eight years in school administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, a Master of Education in Reading, Language, and Literacy, and a Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership.

For the past 18 years, Ms. Kapella has proudly served the Holcomb Bridge Middle School community in Roswell, where she has been instrumental in fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that a strong, supportive school culture is essential for student success. She is known as a culture builder who prioritizes relationships, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose among staff, students, and families. Ms. Kapella is excited to serve the Esther Jackson community and looks forward to continuing her work of investing in students and families, building on nearly two decades of service within the same feeder pattern and bringing deep relationships and a strong understanding of the community she serves.

Outside of school, Mrs. Kapella lives in the Centennial cluster with her husband and three sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid sports fan, especially when cheering on her own boys from the sidelines.
