Mr. Haaris Quraishy has been a teacher and leader in Fulton County Schools for 16years and is excited to bring his deep experience with secondary education to Northwestern Middle School as its new principal. He began his educational career at Chattahoochee High School and later Johns Creek High School teaching Special Education, before teaching social studies and serving as Chattahoochee High School’s graduation coach.

In 2018, Mr. Quraishy was tapped to serve as Taylor Road Middle School’s assistant administrator and later that year he made the move over to Milton and was named assistant principal at Hopewell Middle School. At Hopewell, Mr. Quraishy supported the Social Studies, English, Special Education and Counseling departments. In 2022, Mr. Quraishy joined the FCS Innovation Academy administration as an assistant principal to lead its outreach efforts, including liaison to the multiple middle schools that feed into FCS Innovation Academy, including Northwestern.

A former college basketball scholar athlete and high school basketball coach, Mr.Quraishy thrives on teamwork and knows the value of building authentic relationships with every team member. He looks forward to supporting Northwestern Middle School’s students, staff, parents and greater Milton community. In his spare time, he spends his weekends enjoying life with his wife of 16 years, Saira, and their two daughters, Audriana (13) and Hannah (11) attending their sports events.
