Celebrating Excellence: Fulton County Schools Honors CTAE Students of the Year

There is something unmistakable about students who have found their path.

Fulton County Schools is proud to recognize its Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Students of the Year, a group of young leaders whose confidence, focus, and sense of purpose stand out the moment you meet them.

Each honoree reflects what is possible when students are given the opportunity to explore their interests and apply their learning in meaningful ways. Through their CTAE pathways, these students are doing more than completing coursework. They are gaining real-world experience, developing technical skills, and preparing for life beyond graduation.

Their interests span a wide range of fields, including health care, film, graphic design, agriculture, engineering, information technology, education, and business. In each pathway, students are building knowledge and experience that connect directly to future careers.

A common thread among this year’s honorees is their poise and professionalism. They communicate clearly, lead with confidence, and demonstrate a level of maturity that reflects both their preparation and their ambition.

Fulton County Schools is especially proud to recognize this year’s top honorees:

  • 2026 CTAE Student of the Year: Srushti Swami, Chattahoochee High School (Graphic Design)
  • 1st Runner Up: Jade McMillan, Westlake High School (Audio Video Technology and Film)
  • 2nd Runner Up: Vanessa Hernandez, Riverwood International Charter High School (Allied Health and Medicine)

Just as meaningful is the recognition these students give to the educators who helped guide them. Students consistently point to teachers who challenged them, supported them, and created opportunities to learn in ways that extend beyond the classroom.

Fulton County Schools congratulates its CTAE Students of the Year and celebrates the educators who help make these moments possible.

Spending time with these students leaves a lasting impression. They represent not only the success of our schools, but a future filled with talent, purpose, and possibility.
