Achieve Atlanta Expands Scholarship Program to Four Additional Fulton County Schools

 

More Fulton County Schools students will soon have access to scholarships, college advising, and postsecondary support thanks to the expansion of the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship Program.

Beginning this fall, Global Impact Academy, Langston Hughes High School, The Promise Career Institute, and Westlake High School will join Creekside High School and Tri-Cities High School as participating Fulton County high schools.

Eligible students may receive up to $20,000 in scholarships for college tuition and fees, along with college advising, persistence coaching, and career readiness support designed to help them succeed in college and beyond. Seniors at participating schools will be able to apply for the scholarship beginning in February 2027.

Fulton County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney welcomed the expansion, highlighting the opportunities it creates for students.

"One of our highest priorities is ensuring every Fulton County Schools student graduates with a clear pathway to college, career, or military service," said Dr. Looney. "Achieve Atlanta's expansion to four additional high schools strengthens that commitment by removing financial barriers and providing students with the guidance and resources they need to achieve their postsecondary aspirations. This partnership reflects what is possible when organizations come together to invest in the success of our students and our community."

Throughout the school year, Achieve Atlanta will work alongside school counselors and district leaders to strengthen college-going supports at all six participating high schools.

Families and students will receive additional information about eligibility and the scholarship application process during the 2026–2027 school year.
