Explore Fulton County Schools’ Magnet Programs

Fulton County Schools’ magnet programs offer students learning experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom, giving them a chance to thrive in environments tailored to their strengths and passions.

With coursework focused on specific curricula, classroom learning is connected to real-world experiences so that students are prepared for college, careers, and lifelong learning. Magnet programs also foster collaboration, global-mindedness and personal growth.

Fulton’s magnet programs span elementary through high school and are designed around themed topics such as STEM, the arts, career pathways, or global studies. Learn more about these areas and the schools hosting magnet programs below:

Application Process
With the Change of School Assignment (COSA) application window opening in December, now is the time for families to scope out their magnet options. Some schools require a transfer application through the COSA process and others involve a separate application process beyond the COSA transfer request. More specific information is found on the Magnet Applications Process webpage.

Also, there are several magnet-themed schools that accept students from across the district through their own application process and timeline. These include FCS Innovation Academy, Global Impact Academy, The Promise Career Institute, and North Springs High School (Accelerated Career Diploma program only). Families are encouraged to visit those schools’ websites for application instructions and timelines.
